San Telmo Market w. the girls!
Monday, October 26, 2009 at 03:04PM Sunday Mariangela, her friend Camila and I joined tourists and townies alike at the San Telmo Market. Despite the tourist traps and crowd it was awesome. Good music, fun street performers and great food. They have everything from fresh squeezed orange juice to old school cameras and televisions. At about 5pm people start clearing out their stands and tango dancers fill the streets. The market reminds me of the Portebello Market in London but a bigger, with a lot more stuff to see and do! This definitely won't be the last time I come down here. Maybe I can figure out something to sell (or perform) at the market to help me make money and get closer to porteno status.
Any ideas?

Hola Mi hijo - I just finished with your new entry and video. I have a few comments. One, I think you should dress up like Uncle Sam (w/ a big frickin' R,W, and B pimpin' hat) and sell Chicago style pizza at the market to raise money. Deep dish recipe on line. Go with something odd for the locals - maybe with pineapple?? Or you can do it outside your apt at 8:30 AM!!?? Surely more people than you are whining about a piece of pizza after clubbing it all night!! haha
Next, I loved the band Tremor with the Latin beat and with a Jamaican-man influence almost ....or was that just the weed. lol They also reminded me of a scene from the Blue Man Group without make-up!!?? You said you were taller than most there. Is that how you got such a good view/pictures at the concert??
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: if American bars stayed open all night would more people use public transportation rather than driving home at 2-3 in the AM??
Disfrute el espíritu de la Argentina ( I am pulling up cool crap to say and help you learn Espanol off of the Bing translator) ;-D

PS ....and yes Charlotte you do owe me an e-mail ;-)
