I was walking around downtown Buenos Aires Sunday afternoon minding my own business, when I literally ran into this random parade coming around a corner. I still have no idea what it was for but it ended up consuming my entire afternoon. I followed it from Peru Avenue to Plaza de Mayo where it was followed by a huge free concert right in front of Casa Rosada. Sergio told me that it was in honor of the fall of the Berlin wall but I haven’t found anything in the newspapers about it. Anyone have any answers? The great thing about parades here in Buenos Aires is that everyone gets involved. At the end of a certain section of the parade people will just follow behind and sing and dance along with the participants.
