Xuxa ("Shusha") is a South American Superstar from Brazil who went from porn star to the host of children's television shows... Interesting mix huh? Sex then Kids... I guess it makes sense.

I learned about this triple threat (sing, dance, oral) in class this past week. Both my profesora and classmate had a field day singing her songs. They also told me all about her famous ex-boyfriend Pele and how her songs were even played at Brazilian and Argentine weddings. Especially "Ilarie" from the video above. 

Xuxa came to Argentina in the 90s when the dollar was begged to the AR peso and made her fortune doing television shows for kids like Barney or Teletubbies in the States. However, the greatest thing about Latin American television is that they don't have hosts dressed up in giant idiotic costumes... they have beautiful ex-porn stars that have hot back up dancers (paquitas). 

Her achievements include the second best-selling album in the history of Brazil and being the singer with the second highest total of number-one hits by a female in the Brazilian charts, surpassed only by Daniela Mercury. Xuxa has some of the biggest box office results in Brazilian history and has amassed a fortune of over $100 million. From what I understand, she is still doing kids programs but back in Brazil now. - Wiki

I just think the whole thing is a great strategy for parents to spend time with their kids... especially fathers.
